Behind the brand is ISIPCA-trained perfumer Shale Albao. Her work brings together classical French perfumery techniques with materials and memories drawn from across Asia. The aim is not to follow a fixed style, but to offer a contemporary Asian perspective within the wider niche perfume landscape.

Stillness takes the lead in Hello, Silence. Juniper berry and blackcurrant open cool and crisp, before black tea deepens the tone. At the centre sits almaciga, a resin from a Philippine tree, bringing warmth and a gentle resinous glow. Papyrus adds a dry, papery nuance, while leather, vanilla, and sandalwood melt together in the drydown. The scent feels composed and reflective, like a quiet pause in the middle of the day.

Innocent is all about softness. At the centre sits sampaguita, the national flower of the Philippines, known for its delicate sweetness. Calamansi adds a bright citrus lift, followed by violet and creamy gardenia. Orris, Southeast Asian agarwood, and white musk shape the base. The mood feels airy and slightly powdery, capturing the tender tension of a first crush.

Wave Nº 9 offers a first glimpse of Tadhana’s upcoming collection. The fragrance focuses on asin tiboók, a traditional Filipino sea salt produced through an ancient craft. Its mineral brightness sits against darker aromatic woods, creating a striking contrast. The atmosphere recalls the shoreline after a storm, when sea air and damp wood linger in the breeze.
