How did you become a perfumer?
My journey into perfumery began in childhood, inspired by my father, a master perfumer and founder of EPS Fragrances. Fascinated by scent’s power to trigger emotion and memory, I pursued a degree in chemistry to understand its molecular magic. I have been trained under master perfumer Pierre Alain Blanc, Hüseyin Erdogmus and chief perfumer Mike Evans, blending scientific knowledge with artistic expression. This fusion of heritage, science, and creativity shaped my path into becoming a visionary perfumer.
What inspires your creations?
I draw inspiration from nature, travel, and culture, from the vibrant aroma of spice markets to the quiet serenity of botanical gardens. Music, art, and gastronomy also shape my creative process, as I approach perfumery as a sensory dialogue. But above all, storytelling is at the heart of my work. Each composition seeks to evoke a sense of place, honour tradition, and celebrate human connection.
My signature vision, which I define as the Neo Oriental style, reinterprets the classic oriental fragrance family through an East–West synthesis. By weaving the depth and opulence of oriental materials with contemporary vibrancy, I aim to craft a modern olfactive identity that feels both timeless and unmistakably current.
What’s your dream project?
My dream project is to create a fragrance collection that celebrates cultural duality, uniting the sensual depth of Oriental perfumery with the refined structure of Western tradition. I envision a sensory journey inspired by the spirit of Istanbul, a city that stands as a bridge between worlds.
In this collection, history and innovation, art and science, tradition and modernity exist in harmony. It would bring together the richness of time-honored materials with contemporary elegance, capturing this dynamic balance within each bottle.
What is your latest niche perfume creation?
My latest niche perfume creation is Enigmatic Aura by Reinvented Parfums. This is a captivating fusion of depth and light, where rich, textured notes intertwine with the softness of modern musks to create a beautifully magnetic presence. Its sensual layers envelop the skin like a second breath, leaving behind an alluring aura that’s simply irresistible.
